A bit of history...

Despite Katy's selective memory, the first time that we met was Halloween 2018. I, dressed as Jeremy Corbyn, approached this attractive girl leaving Revs on Castle Street in the early hours of the morning, hoping to strike up a conversation. Unfortunately, Katy was already pre-occupied with another, older guy, with ambitions of being a step-mum. This led to me being blanked. Big time. "Must be a tory", I thought to myself, or just uppity (same thing?). 

However, as fate may have it, a few months later, invited to a pre-drinks in Cathays, I unknowingly found myself in Katy's living room. I did not realise this in the first instance, because Katy was upstairs for half an hour after our arrival, getting ready, a theme which continues to this day. We had a few drinks in the house, then went out separate ways. However, half way through the night, Katy just so happened to find herself in Clwb Ifor Bach, where I just so happened to be... Over the next few months, we bumped into each other on a few more nights and something started blossoming. 

It all came to a head on New Years Eve 2019. After a separate night out in Clwb Ifor Bach I called into a house party Katy was throwing in Cathays. Upon my arrival, Katy was nowhere in sight. I did a scout of the house, only to be told she was upstairs with a boy... Devastating news. To save embarrassment, I went to make a swift exit, but before I could I was grabbed by Katy's good friend, Etain. "ARE YOU WILL?!", she said. "Yes", I said, but proceeded to tell her why I was making a swift move for the door. However, Etain, saving the embryonic relationship put the story straight, telling me that Katy was just consoling the chap upstairs, and that Katy had been telling her all about me that day. Well, the relief was palpable. The rest, as they say, history. 

We went from strength to strength, and in a test for any relationship, just over a year later the first COVID lockdown would hit and I moved into Katy's parents' house for what we thought would just be for a week, max. How wrong we were! But, we adapted, and in July 2021 we moved into our first home in West Road. In that time, we have had some exceptional experiences, a few of which are documented below!
